Chimney sat in his office going through paperwork as he hummed a merry tune, ‘Lucy in the Sky’ by The Beatles to be precise. As he sifted through the small stack of paper looking for the new law that needed to be passed his secretary Ericka walked in with even more papers.

Chimney gave her a lopsided grin. “Ah mo’ crap for me then? Rot oh, just set it ther’.” He motioned to a cleared area on his desk. She set the new stack on his desk and then handed him a small card.

“Here, Chim this came for you specially.” She then left the room to attend to her own work.

Chimney looked at the card and felt his heart stop; the card read ‘You are cordially invited to S.I.R Bart ‘Bark’ and Beverly Post’s Wedding on-‘
Chimney could not read anymore. He clutched his chest and took deep steadying breaths until he felt his pulse return to normal.

He threw the invitation on the ground and got up and started to pace about the room mumbling to him. “Bark is going to leave me behind, he’s not going to see me anymore, we won’t be friends.” Chimney started scratching violently at his hair and face as he again tried to steady his breathing, but no matter what he was getting more and more agitated. He collapsed on the ground in the fetal position still scratching at his face. When he felt a slight tear on his cheek he stopped and immediately ran to his mirror and checked his stitches. Luckily he didn’t pop a stitch.

Bark was his everything: his best friend, his brother, his pillar of strength, and the one person who helped him become governor. Not only that, but he’s the one person he could count on and understand him. Ever since Scott-

Chimney bit his bottom lip and willed himself not to lose it. He’s a man of power now; he’s not that loser with the glasgow smile anymore!

He straightened up and poked his head out of his office. “Ericka! I need ‘ou to get me something to take my mind elsewhere!”

Ericka walked over accompanied by Beverly Post. Chimney felt his entire body heat up with irrational hatred. He kept his face passive as he greeted Beverly. “Oh ‘ello Miss. Post I wasn’t expecting you, wha’s the occasion?”

Beverly rubbed the back of her neck. “Well Chim-Chim, I just wanted to talk to you, do you mind? I mean are you busy at all?”

Chimney bit his lip and nodded his head. “Well yes, I am a bit busy so I think you’d-”

Ericka interrupted. “Oh I don’t think she’d be here that long. But don’t worry Chim, I’ll be back with something that’ll make you feel much better.” She gave him a wink as she sauntered downstairs.

Chimney and Beverly stood there awkwardly until Beverly made a motion toward his office. “So shall we then?”

Chimney nodded and let her in. She noticed the invitation on the ground and smiled sheepishly. “So you go it already? Wild huh? It seems just like yesterday that I got here and met all of you guys.”

Chimney nodded slowly, feeling a hard lump in his throat.

She gave Chimney the invitation. “I hope to see you there, not as the Governor of course, but as Bark’s best friend.”

Chimney avoided looking at her, instead just staring out the window. “Yeah, I’ll be there. I’ll be there.”

“Oh awesome! I can’t wait to tell Bark that, anyway I wanted to talk to you about…”

Chimney couldn’t hear her anymore; it was like his heart was pounding in his ears. He could distinctly feel his nails dig into the palm of his skin. He needed something; no he needed to do something. He bit down hard on his tongue, chomping down until he could taste the sharp metallic taste of blood. What does he need? How could he just get rid of these terrible pulsating feeling that resonated through his senses?

Kill her just get rid of her and Bark will never leave your side, best friends forever right?

Chimney’s eyes widened at this unfamiliar voice, looking about the room he noticed nothing out of the ordinary and Beverly looking at him with a strange expression.

“Hey Chimney? Are you okay? You don’t look so good.”

Kills her now! No one will ever know! Do it! Do it!

Suddenly the weight of his scissors felt heavy in his pocket, increasing more and more in weight.

“H-hey did you need me to call Ericka? Or even Dr. Com? You look like you’re going to pass out.”

Chimney was now totally deaf to her words; the only voice he could hear was his own.
Taking the scissors out of his pocket he advanced on the young woman.

As he sat in his office he stared at the broken bloody body of Beverly. Her now sightless missing eyes staring at him. Chimney stared right back unblinking. She flinched a moment as her body started to shake and slowly her body started to turn into a shade.

He got up from his chair and walked over to her, and lifted her up. She let out a soft groan as she gazed at her new body, not taking it what happened. She let out a loud shriek. She looked from her long spindly fingers to Chimney and back.

He gave the girl, no the Forgotten a crooked smile. “Goodbye Miss Post, good~bye~”
Let's get a little insight about the Governor shall we?

Bark: And this is why you're a dick.

Scott: That's an understatement to say the least.
